The C875 came out about 1 1/2 years earlier than the A470.
The A470 is Canon's entry level camera.
Meaning it is their lowest priced camera.
However, it has an excellent lens and takes good photos.
The C875 has good reviews and a good rating with owners.
If the C875 is in good working order, I would consider such a trade a good idea.
Here is a review of the C875, complete with full size sample photos:
I recently purchased a Canon A470. It's a decent camera and it produces decent pictures. My friend owns a Kodak C875 that she's trying to sell. I was thinking of swapping cameras with her and letting her sell my Canon. It's only 2 months old or so. She might get more money.
But is it worth it?
The C875 has PASM controls,5X optical zoom, 8 megapixels, and a specialty lens. The A470 has no manual controls, 3.4X optical zoom, 7.1 megapixels and a standard Canon Zoom Lens.
I bought the Canon for 130.00, so I think it's a decent trade. The street value for the C875 is around 200.00, from what I've seen.
And the C875 is in decent shape. It's got some minor dings and scratches, but I've fiddled with it before and everything still works just fine.
Should I swap for Kodak or stick with the Canon?
Any feedback is appreciated.
