Know how to stop quicktime from trying to download iTunes?

I have Quicktime installed on my PC for those rare occasions that a website needs it, but it's always (about every 2 days) giving me a popup on my desktop asking if I want to download and install Quicktime & iTunes. I don't have an iPod, and likely never will... I have NO use for iTunes and these popups are getting irritating. Any body know how to prevent this from happening other than uninstalling Quicktime?
