Knology.net blocks my email from all accounts

Jul 16, 2016 2:36PM PDT

If I send email to friends with knology.net (Wowway.com) addresses it bounces with a message that says I sent spam. It does it using my own account name at iPage, with gmail and with comcast.net - whether from my computer or on Webmail. Knology says it isn't their problem, even though their server is the one that rejects the email. Who do I turn to? Has anyone else had this problem?

Unclear.

Since Gmail is not Knology and web mail, that should work. Many ISP email systems are black listed so you know to not depend on them.

Gmail does not use Knology's email servers so the issue here is unclear to me.

Yes. It is very unclear why the email is blocked. Knology is one of our cable providers and so many people have knology.net email addresses here (North Alabama). In talking to friends, I learned this is not a new problem. Knology blocks lots of email - for no apparent reason - and the Knology Support people insist it's not their problem, when the reject message says it's their server that rejected the email for "spam". My problem is that I can't find anyone to even explain why this is happening. Knology won't talk to you unless you are a customer!

Aha, a little clearer.

As in you are sending from your gmail.com to Knology and get a reject.

Sorry but it's not you or mine to fix here. If they have a broken or too strong a shield on emails then only Knology can correct that.

Or ask your friend to get on Gmail.
