Kingston DDR memory vs. ACP DDR2 memory

Jun 8, 2005 5:01AM PDT

Which is better Kingston DDR memory or ACP DDR2 memory? Has anyone ever heard of ACP? I'm looking to upgrade the memory in my Emachines T6212 but I'm not sure what kind of memory to buy. Any help with this would be appreciated
Thanks

You can't use DDR2 memory in the emachines. so your only choice is the Kingston DDR.

Depends...

That may not be true. The newer emachines may be more updated...

In any case, DDR2 isn't much better than DDR anyway. There are also many branches within DDR memory, DDR 2700 and 3200, for example. If you're not sure, get the lower numbered one, since they're backward compatible. There isn't much of a difference in speed anyway.

You are correct....

The T6212 emachine motherboard RS480M2-IL (MSI-7093) supports DDR Dual Channel DDR 400/DDR333 DDR SDRAM and not DDR2.
