Keystroke Shortcuts

by C2613 / April 29, 2014 11:47 PM PDT

Gateway FX6840, Window 7 Home Premium 64 Bit System.

Quite often when typing a new message/reply in Windows Live Mail, certain keystrokes cause an unexpected reaction, taking me to another screen. It is like there are shortcut keys active.

The most frequent occurrence is with the letter "e".

After closing the other screen, it often will then continue with normal typing.

The problem is not consistent however. Sometimes a complete message/reply can be composed without this happening. At other times the unwanted reaction occurs with each keystroke of the particular letter involved.

Looking for advice on how I can eliminate the problem.

The first thing to try with a keyboard problem always is tryaning another keyboard.

Pretty sure this is not a keyboard problem --- it only happens with Windows Live Mail!
