keyboards gone mental

When i boot up the PC everything is working fine, all of a sudden what i am typing it is in jibberish and i have to copy what i am typing, close off the app. and reopen it and then paste and then keep typing. This will happen continually, I have tried antivirus scanners etc. i have tried another keyboard and it still does it. Can anybody help ???????
i am running xp home

This may be a TROJAN KEYBOARD LOGGER. There are many that an Antivirus will not detect. I'd run the usual Housecall, Spybot and Adaware scans and also remove the case cover to see if its a heat issue.
