Keyboard / XP problems

When I type I keep getting numbers added after certain letters - this sentance looked like the one shown below before I deleted all of the extra characters - can anyone help me please as it is really annoying - Thanks

Check and see if the function key is locked.

How old is your keyboard? By the looks of it you're getting problems when you type letters on the top row of the letters, below the line of numbers. Maybe the contacts have somehow become merged underneath, so that when you press the letter keys you are actually pressing the number keys as well. Try replacing the keyboard, see if it helps.
