Keyboard with Smart TV

by intiko81 / February 4, 2016 7:33 PM PST

Hi everyone,
I just bought an LG Smart TV (43LF6300) and I want to know if anyone has it and could confirm me that any keyboard would work if plugged to the TV ? I tried a wireless keybard+mouse. Mouse is working, keyboard only numbers.
Please anyone has this model with WebOS 2.0?

Does not sound like a keyboard issue,.

The fact the keyboard worked with numbers points to Smart TV issues. Does this have a web browser you would use the letters?

Yes it does have a web browser. I just didn't test it on it. I will later today. However, I tested the keyboard is on the search input of YouTube app. Only numbers work. I will get you back with the browser address input. But I think it's just the same thing. If it might be the tv itself, I will have to hurry to change it.

I found the Youtube app to be iffy on keyboard input on Samsung. Most versions are now OK but there are old smart TVs that didn't get updated.

Hmm ok. For sure I gotta try the web browser's input then. But the tv is the latest model 2015 with the last version of web OS 2.0. We will see the results later today.

Hi, I've finally tested the keyboard with different apps. With Web browser and Netflix, the keyboard is working. Issue is with YouTube. I can't wait for the Web OS 3.0 to be released and see its features. Hope this issue will be resolved.

Thank you for your support. It prevented me from going the shop for nothing Happy

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
