keyboard replacement

I need to replace my keyboard on a Compaq v5000. How do I do this?

Find your model and see how HP sells spares. The v5000 is just the entire line but not the exact model so to save time during spare parts ordering, get the exact model number if not the FRU number for them.

At less than 100 bucks I consider this a bargain when it fixes a laptop.

Head to compaq.com and supply/find the EXACT model number. Many of these had disassembly diagrams but you missed by BIG HINT that you didn't reveal the exact laptop model number. You gave the series but not the model.

Supply a link to your model so I can read a manual or not waste time giving you the wrong manual.
