1. NAME the trojans. You'll get the best help by naming the pests so others may chime in with what they do.
2. I think I wrote I would boot a KNOPPIX CD or even DOS to see if this is a hardware issue. Please tell the results.
3. If you installed ANY keyboard enhancer like LOGITECH, please write about it. I've run into too many issuew with Intellikey and Logitech "keyboard" drivers that I just don't use them at home or office.
Sorry bob, I was in a hurry and did'nt get that far in the message. I used housecall and found 3 trojans and I simply deleted the contaminated files. It still did'nt help. ad-aware found a few things and those were also deleted. Sorry again for not taking my time and reading the whole post.
