keyboard problem

I am having problems with keyboard on a Sony Vaio, when writting, suddenly the cursor goes to a prior position and continue writting there....so have to check all time the writting as is all messed up.
I have been confronting this problem since 3 weeks ago and dont know what is causing this.....
