keyboard not working

when my computer starts up i get a message that i am running in safe mode to press "del" to access bios but i also get a message saying keyboard not working or not recognized so i can press "del" all i want but no response. So how do i access the bios without a keyboard. I tried another keyboard, didn't work, tried different usb ports didn't work.

(NT) (NT) Try a PS2 terminated keyboard.

As Michael said

you need a PS2 type of keyboard. The USB drivers don't get installed in safe mode.
