I've been fighting with this problem for a while. For some reason one day when i rebooted my xp sp3 desktop my keyboard didn't work. I tried restarting it a few times but it still didn't work. So somehow or another i came up with the idea of switching the usb port it was plugged into and for some reason it worked. Sadly though when i restarted my computer again, it no longer worked in that port or the previous one either, but in all the others it did. I plugged it into a third port and it was fine for a few days and now that port is no longer responsive on reboot as well. With me finally down to one port that will respond i log in and decide to plug it back into a dead one and view it's problem in device manager, it says error code 19 could not start device because it's data in the registry is incomplete or corrupt. I tell it to uninstall the keyboard and then scan for new hardware changes and sometimes it will fix it the first try around and sometime i have to do it multiple times. It only fixes it till i reboot again though, any ideas what's going on with this?
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
