Keyboard keys lag on pc

by zuher_laith / November 6, 2017 4:29 AM PST

I'm having a trouble with my pc keyboard keys, I open notepad and when I hold on any key it prints fast right?, well it gets laggy and prints really slow when I press & hold on any key,
I tried it on another pc and it works fine, so the problem is with my pc (not the operation system because I have 2 different operations and Its the same)
This got me losing 50$ for buying 2 keyboards .... I need help !

Control panel>keyboard.
Play with the repeat rate and the delay.

Its not a matter of repeat delay/rate, example when I press "Backspace", it prints "\" & "backspace" at the same time!
This is the same condition for both operating systems (Win & Linux)

In your first post you did not say anything about mistyping.
You did not say anything about 2 different OS's.....unless 2 different operations meant that.
You talked about key repeat rate.

So neither keyboard works on your pc but both keyboards work on another pc.
Is that correct?

Both keyboards on your pc using windows or linux do not work.
Is that correct?

You have a mistyping problem and a repeat rate problem.
Is that correct?
Is there anything else that you see?

Yeah both keyboard doesn't work on my pc.
And they don't work on both operating systems.
I don't think I have a mistyping problem/repeat rate problem.

Something important I noticed .. my brother has a JEDEL keyboard so I tried it on my pc ... and it worked with no problems ! How is that happening?
Is it a matter of keyboard compatibility?

And both versions of Windows have the same correct settings in Control Panel>Keyboard for repeat speed (high) and repeat delay (moderate)? And it's the same in Linux also?

Since the OSes were not called out and Notepad is on Windows as well as Linux you have to tell us what you have for OSes as well as the hardware.

In a pinch I may even boot DOS to test this out so I'm using the smallest OS I can find.
