Keyboard key not unpressing, after key press combination

Apr 30, 2015 2:40AM PDT

When I press W and D at the same time, then release W, it will repeat the W key for a indiscriminate amount of time...

The same thing happens with S and D. where D repeats after it is released.

NOTES:
- Keyboard: GX manticore
- The physical keys return to their original position
- I am using the keyboard's drivers
- This issue only happens with WD and SD combinations
- No other keys or key combinations exhibit the same problem

Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it?
Has anyone else run into the same issue?

One of my recurring "things" is

To go native for keyboard and mouse drivers. That is, the stock Windows drivers usually are fine. Over the years I've bumped into issues with Logitech, Microsoft and other "drivers" for keyboard and mice. Fix? Forget those exist and go native.

If that kybd. is not some std. kybd. and has "pre-keyed or pgmed. functions" on some row, etc. then you don't have a std. kybd.. That said, it maybe better to un-install any related s/w that came with the kybd.. Once done, reboot to clear plus verify AND!!! it should now default to native or basic MS kybd. drivers that the OS provides. If the problem appears then, you have either a bad kybd. or misc. drivers still at work, though I thought it.

If you hadn't yet, "burp the kybd." by turning upside-down and rapping the bottom to loosen any gunk or crud like crumbs, dirt, staples, etc. because that can be a source of problems. Retry the kybd. and see if problem disappears or "moves to another area" if yes, then some staple is loose or object shorting or preventing proper operation. Also, its possible in option laden kybds. that some chip is failing because they have extra circuitry. What this all boils down to if the problem persists, get another kybd.. At least try a std. kybd. to see if problem arise or goes away. If you operate in a "humid area" kybds. do fail as their simple flat ribbons or connections are literally painted/sprayed on to conduct and corrode easily. Alas, frequent and commonly used keys may fail as well from wear&tear.

Too often just replacing a kybd. will be the fix. Yeah, you may have a fancy option laden or programmable one but they fail because they're too fancy.
