Keyboard is malfunctioning

by colindarby / November 20, 2004 10:05 AM PST

Daughter having problems with Hewlett Packard Keyboard = Windows 98SE = 256RAM = Drive = 40gb

Keyboard is malfunctioning = With a Word 2000 [new document] opened and you press the "ENTER RETURN" Key [Full main Character Key Pad] you have the of symbols of the + - [Plus - minus] appearing. The "Enter Key" on the Number Key Pad seems to function all OK

When you use the "Number Key Pad" and you press 9 or 7 you automatically receive 97 on the Word Document.

When on the internet and you press 1 on the number keyboard you receive a notification informing you "Closing Down Computer.

Any help would be appreciated,
Regards Colin.

Except for replacing an occasional key, keyboards aren't repaired, they are replaced.
Ample choice for less than $25.
