Keyboard combination to display programs in use?

Feb 28, 2004 11:09AM PST

That's really about all I have to ask. Just wanna know the keys you need to press that brings up a menu that displays any programs in use, so I can close any that freeze up. Thanks!

(video games are my expertise, not PC stuff)

Try:

Ctrl+Alt+Delete

Or

Ctrl+Shift+Esc

This will bring up the Windows Task Manager which should allow you to shutdown hung applications or services.

In XP, Ctrl-Shift-Esc and Ctrl-Alt-Del both bring up the task manager.
