Keyboard Buttons don't work right in Firefox

by Poopsi / June 24, 2006 1:31 AM PDT

My Home and End, Page up and Page down and Arrow Buttons don't work when using Firefox. They work in Internet Explorer. I have been through all the Settings and can't find out why. Anyone know and can help please.

Left-click anywhere on the page, then try the keyboard buttons.

You may also want to...

Focus is certainly the most common cause, but I've found that sometimes you have to disable Smooth Scrolling (Tools->Options->Advanced->General) for page up/page down to work correctly on some websites. If neither of those solutions work it's most likely just the website(s)...some sites use code and/or techniques that is acceptable to Internet Explorer but does not follow the universal standards, meaning it won't work properly with all browsers. In that case you can contact the webmaster of the site and/or go Help->Report Broken Web Site to let the Mozilla developers know of the issue...there's a chance they might be able to correct it from their end.

Hope this helps,

Thank you John. Your help was appreciated. I no longer have Smooth Scrolling but can use my Home Button again. Have a nice weekend. Poopsi

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
