Do a clean install of Windows 10 and it should work, if the hardware is fine.
Yes, you'll need a Windows 10 install disk or stick. Make one yourself with the Media Creation Tool on any Windows PC you have access to, find a friend or family member that has one, or buy one in a shop that offers more than just a download (but why pay for something that is free to download?).
Tell the installer to format the partition you install on. Or delete the current partition with your favorite bootable partition manager before installing.
So i recently tried upgrading my system with a new gpu, cpu, ram, motherboard, keyboard, mouse and monitor, so basically a new computer. Now the keyboard and mouse dont work at all once Windows starts its boot. So it works in bios and recovery but not in the login screen either in main OS boot or safe mode. I feel like ive tried most things that i can that ive seen from other cases like mine online. So any additional insight would be really appreciated... Thanks.
Like an idiot i forgot to setup a windows recovery boot. So that option is out atm. Also dont have another working computer to make one, only my phone and a mUSB to USB flash drive. But everything ive tried wont let you put a bootable windows 10 iso onto it because the file is to large to transfer(have enough room), or apps dont support windows transfers.
Dont have a PS/2 mouse or keyboard so cant test that on old motherboard.
Ive tried swapping back to my old keyboard and mouse but same thing happens to them now.
Ive tried the usb legacy options and any others involving the bios settings.
Tested the hdd for faults in recovery mode cmd prompt. Shows no faults.
Tried swapping out to old system hardware and tried both sets of KBs/Mice.
Tried recovery mode rollbacks, resets, and backups got errors.
Updated my bios on the new motherboard to current after resetting current bios.
Tried hard power resets, tried rapid unplugging and replugging the USBs. Only thing it does is lights up the RGB backlighting on my new corsair keyboard, no visuals or function on either mice or razer keyboard.
Fast boot is disabled.
