Question

Keyboard and mouse don't work

When I turn on my computer the keyboard and mouse stop working when I get to the log in screen. I have pressed F8 on startup and can verify that the keyboard and mouse will work when I get to that screen, but when I proceed they both stop working. Both connect via USB. I am using an optical mouse and the light goes off just as the log in screen comes up. I am running Windows 7.

Any suggestions or should I just take it to the repair guy?
