Question

Keyboard Acting Strange

Oct 6, 2018 11:19AM PDT

Hello, I currently run windows 10 on a relatively new PC build, for my keyboard I use a blackwidow chroma.
I am running through a weird issue that the L key is not working and random keys will activate randomly.
A couple other things I have noticed are that it will some times write "review" and some gibberish with the number 6 at the end, never other numbers.
I then tried logging on to another user in my same computer and the issue is not happening to the other account so I decided to simply delete mine and re make it but the issue still persists.

My apologies if I have not provided enough information on my build, if anymore is necessary please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

A Simple Test: Swap In A Different Keyboard
Oct 7, 2018 7:56AM PDT

When swapping in a known-good keyboard, don't add any special drivers. Simply let Windows supply the drivers. If the different keyboard functions correctly, you have the culprit.

Hope this helps.

No work
Oct 10, 2018 6:09AM PDT

Hi Grif, this didn't work, it doesn't seem to be a problem with hardware because the the other user account it still works fine but on mine it doesn't, very odd.

Thanks,

Does it work also in a new user account you create? Then start using that, and after transferring data and settings from the old account, delete that.

Works

This is odd, I recreated a new account and it started working but then I transferred all of my applications it started doing that weird bug, I just made a new account and am keeping a very close watch on what I am downloading/installing to make sure I catch whatever it is.

I thought it could have been discord because It would launch with my startup but when I looked for it's destination it was nowhere to be found but feel like it may not have anything to do with this...

Anyways it is now working, thank you for your suggestions!

Add Windows Driver

You need to add all the necessary Windows drivers and check the device is there any spy wear is inserted into your system. I hope this method will help.

Drivers

Hi,

you could also try to deinstall the drivers and install them from scratch.

Good luck! Happy
