Keyboard

Feb 19, 2004 2:45AM PST

All keys are Working fine, then suddenly the "ENTER" key has no response.
Very frustrating as it means having to reboot all the time to answer emails etc.

I have a wireless keyboard & mouse, but have changed the batteries....problem still occurs. Have uninstalled and re installed, still happens.

Any help appreciated.

If so, go find since I think I noted a registry key to check.

Did you?

Without those registry contents, I can't tell if that's it.

Possibilities remain:

1. Keyboard remapping via registry or keyboard "enhancer."
2. A dead keyboard.
3. Virus, Trojan or pest.

I went to the registry, but could not get in to the scancodes.
I am not a "techie" but as you can see the return is working fine now, as I am writing this......but don't worry it will "trip out" again

Intermittent problems like this change what possibilities I will ask one to look into.

Forget about the registry. That's not it.

In the future, tell such early so the forum can narrow and focus faster.

The remaining items are what's left.
