kernel32.dll is doing it on behalf of another process. you will have to run a lot more than just AdAware. the Security Forum recommends running at least 3 or 4 different spyware scanners because none of them are complete enough. you also need to run at least one of the two major virus scanners too. you also need to get a better firewall program so that it can figure out what is calling kernel32.dll to make the connection.

Every time I connect to the Internet my firewall warns me that kernel32.dll is trying to access the Internet. I always deny access, but does kernel32 ever need to access the Internet? Why would it need to? I suspected a virus, but my virus checker (TrendMicro) finds nothing, and AdAware detects no spyware. Any idea what is going on?
