keep getting the msg dgbhelp dll missing

Is it dgbhelp.dll or dbghelp.dll? Somehow, I suppose it's the last.

If it's a Windows file you can try two things:
1. Run sfc /scannow to check for missing files
2. Copy it yourself from your Windows installation cd, as described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888017

dbghelp.dll yes , , only thing is the pc came with windows ,all verified but i dont have a cd, got one on ebay but my pc tells me it is older than the one currently installed , thinks im going to have to take it to shop for repair !! thanks for your advice anyway

You should be able to extract that file from the disk you got from eBay. And you might be able to copy it from any other XP PC. Put it in \windows\system32 and see what happens. If not enough, register it with regsvr32 and try again.
