Question

Keep all my phones after changeover to Australia's NBN ?

May 15, 2018 7:38PM PDT

I have 7 phones and a modem connected to the wall-socket, and that currently works well. Will reduction/modification be needed after switch-over to Australia's National Broadband Network ?

Yes.

Here I have a cable modem with some phone system in it. I can plug my old phones into that jack.

Your ISP will have to clarify further.

Modification of phone system needed after connection to NBN

The ISP I intend to join for NBN told me a technician would need to 'check' my setup. I did not need a technician to create the phone farm - it works fine the way I connected it. I was wondering if there is something about NBN that requires the attention of a technician to a system that already works well.

If it works fine then tell them you're done.

You miss the point. It works well NOW, before I have switched to NBN. I want to know if there is something about an NBN connection that intrinsically warrant's a techie's attention.
