KDL-V26XBR1 & Blu-ray Help

by JamEraY / July 3, 2007 7:11 AM PDT

My question for you is, my picture quality for Blu-ray movies on by BRAVIA KDL-V26XBR1 is not very good, picture looks grainy, I have done alot a messing around with the settings, nothing seems to improve the quality.
This set has a native resolution of 720p and also supports 1080i (No 1080p), could this be the main reason for the bad picture quality ?
I got this TV in 2005 and my Blu-ray player (PS3) in 2006, I use HDMI, I own the movies Casino Royal,Crank and Star Gate.
I hope you can provide some good settings for this TV and some recomendation that may help.
Thank you in advance for the help.

In reply to: MR JAM TRY THIS

I have the all resolutions sapported buy my TV selected, It looks best at 1080i, but wether I have it at 1080i or in its native resolution (720p) it looks grainy.
It is not a issue with my PS3 (I tested it on a 720p/1080i plasma at a friends place, and the Blu-ray movies look great at 1080i on his set).
I also tested his PS3 on my TV, looks grainy, so it is something to do with my TV.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
