Kazaa Problems / Plus Observations

by Ray Saunders / November 12, 2003 1:13 AM PST

1.] ZD/Net and C/Net should warn readers not to use the free download s/w that claims to block ads on Kazaa. Kazaa has a system that cancels your Kazaa s/w, and has a fix to reinstall the s/w. After 3 days I'm still trying to download the s/w but it keeps hanging up in step 5. of the download process, and its driving me nuts! So beware!

2.] C/Net should make it easier to find this site. I looked under Forums, no luck. I looked under Communities, no luck. After much searching I finally found the site under Message Boards...WHEW!

P.S. What was wrong with the old Forum set up, they were great, easily viewable, and less complicated than the new format. Its amazing how most changes make a simple process complicated. Not user friendly!

Kazaa is Spyware. Some even lose it all with this type software.

As I understand it from Fred Langa, Kazaa Lite is NOT spyware, while Kazaa is. How's about that?

How about that?

Sorry but the number of toasted operating systems I see from P2P users have me write that we should not use such things for other than fetching those nice Linux CDs, Open Office and such. Even then why Kazaa anything when you can do better.
