General discussion

K and the FBI

Sep 30, 2018 7:16PM PDT

Unless a smoking gun comes out of this probe I expect K is on his way to the SC.

The repubs want him and the dems do not.

Hint.....the repubs are driving the bus.

When the repubs give him the job they will smile and the dems will howl.

The media will go nutso with opinion pieces until the next event happens and then we will move on.

Discussion is locked

You ARE correct about one thing
Oct 4, 2018 9:54AM PDT

The Dems ARE playing politics...…..but they are playing viciously and without a backward glance at destroying people's lives and careers in the process, not only by going after a SCOTUS nominee as smarmily as they can imagine, but also by totally betraying their own 'client'.....all in the name of winning at all costs, which has been their habit and game play for years. NO Republican party group has done this.

AND, they are NOT 'supporting women' or 'believing them' as they claim or they wouldn't have hired their own DNC attorney to 'investigate' the REAL claim of assault against the ASST CHAIR of that same DNC just to have him negate the WOMAN'S claim against him, even with her REAL proof of the assault.

You can claim all you want about my 'righty' rant....I'm bringing you FACTS that you can't dispute.

Rant #3
Oct 4, 2018 10:32AM PDT

I accept politics for what it is.....a dirty game.
You can keep carping about things if it make you feel better.

Dispute?.....nope
Washington is a constant jockeying for position.
Collateral damage does not matter.
The objective is win.

So who do you think is

REALLY driving the bus? O at the very least, who do you think is trying to grab that steering wheel no matter what it takes or costs and is it ok with you?

Driving the bus
Oct 4, 2018 12:06PM PDT

As of today it's the repubs.

The dems are trying to change that.

OK with me?
I accept politics for what it is.
A constant battle to gain power and push forward your ideas.

Do you think only the Dems have GOOD ideas?
Oct 4, 2018 1:22PM PDT

Or do you think that Reps and even Trump have good ideas?

Since you claim to be so acceptable to what politics is, can you point to any ideas that Trump and the Reps have put forth that you feel is acceptable? I ask because you seem to contradict yourself over and over by saying something reasonable then you start the complaining immediately afterward and make disparaging remarks often.

Ideas
Oct 4, 2018 5:25PM PDT

Both parties can have good ideas.

It's when either party goes too far left or right that it creates a problem.

I'm not so stuck on the left or right that I auto reject the other side.

Which seems to be where you are.

You avoided the actual question I asked....
Oct 5, 2018 1:13AM PDT

Since you complain often about Trump and the Reps....what policies have they put into place are acceptable to you.....and what policies of BO and the Dems were put into place that are Unacceptable to you?

No thanks

That plays right into your wheel house/grudge list.

Show me the post where I said something negative about the repubs.

I've already posted what I thought the Don had accomplished.
It was an answer to a question you had asked but you never came back.
Search backwards and you'll find it.

I don't much comment on past admins unless it's a response to one of your anti BO/anti Hillary rants.

Since Trump has done away with many
Oct 6, 2018 2:37AM PDT

of BO's policies, I really believe my question was legitimate and not at all a 'grudge list' rant, Bob. You go out of your way to complain about Trump, but refuse to actually state what policies he's put into place that you find unacceptable. You make random statements that he's a child and you appear to disagree with his foreign policies as a whole, but don't define which ones or why. How can you possibly expect anyone to take you seriously when you haven't got the spine to debate anything and stay so vague? Even when you are asked a legitimate question, you duck and dodge it. As for 'you don't much comment on past admins'....BO has only been gone for two years so his POLICIES are relatively new and many are still in place. I'm not asking you to go back to Bill or Bush or Carter or Woodrow Wilson for crying out loud....and yet you try to make it sound...I'm asking you to tell me which of BO's policies, many of which are CURRENTLY going on, that you find acceptable or unacceptable, and you are unable to do so. I suspect it's because you actually don't KNOW enough about ANYTHING he did to have a discussion and that your total dislike of Trump is ALL you have because you can't even define what HE'S done that you can or cannot accept.

The Don's policies
Oct 6, 2018 3:26AM PDT

1. Change your mind hourly so that congress and world leaders don't believe a thing you say.

2. Talk about things you know nothing about and just make up stuff.

3. When the media points out that 50% of it was BS call it fake news.

4. Try to get the trade and tariff rules that were written many years ago updated to reflect today.......that one I like.

5. Sign a tax cut bill that was heavily skewed to the wealthy and sell it as a middle class tax cut.

- Collapse -
#4 you like
Oct 6, 2018 10:42AM PDT

and yet, for MONTHS, you posted every day about how tariff wars were eminent around the world and the 'child' was an idiot/bully/etc for messing with negotiating new agreements.

5. You don't like that one, but Trump actually discontinued dumping $85 BILLION every MONTH for 8 years into Wall Street which made ONLY the rich richer and nary a word about THAT being 'heavily skewed to the wealthy' while the middle class lost everything and weren't given even a backward glance. At least under Trump, they are actually getting SOME of their money back. (BTW, did you notice that the liberal media has been praising the hell out of Amazon for increasing their employees' pay to $15 per hour? That media has forgotten to tell the PEOPLE that in order to do that, Amazon has stopped all retirement pensions and other benefits they WERE getting...….so much for the Democrat crap of 'share the wealth' and 'income equality'. But, hey, it's not 'collateral damage' or 'scapegoating' as they destroy people's futures....it's only business, right?

- Collapse -
More made up stuff?
Oct 6, 2018 2:39PM PDT

Your just like the Don making up stuff as you go.
Is this what happens to people when they become a righty?

I did not post everyday about trade wars.

I do recall a post questioning the wisdom of starting a trade war with 4/5 countries all at the same time.

Are you blaming the dems for what amazon does with their pay policy?

Amazon took money from one pot and put it in a different pot.

There will be winners and losers from the money shuffle.

- Collapse -
The 'money shuffle'
Oct 7, 2018 2:55AM PDT

The Dems are praising Amazon for the pay hikes, but leaving out the most important part of that 'shuffle'. Amazon isn't taking 'from the rich to give to the poor'.....they are taking from the POOR's 'back door' to give to the POOR thru the 'front door'. The ONLY winner in that 'shuffle' is Amazon....the LOSERS are the people they employ....and they did it just to 'look good and generous', when it was all a LIE. Amazon DIDN'T take the money from 'one pot and put it in a different pot'....they didn't 'generously' reduce their CEO's paychecks pots in order to do this.

Pot to pot
Oct 7, 2018 9:01AM PDT

Amazon took from the benefit pot and put it in the pay pot.

In no way is that any of my or your business.

Amazon's compensation practice is amazon's business.

Whether amazon came out a net winner or loser I have no idea.

If your unhappy with what amazon is doing contact Bezos and carp.
