Question

JVC TV will not alow HDMI input

Sep 17, 2015 2:18PM PDT

I connected my computer to HDMI port 1 on my JVC TV. The computer sees the tv as a second monitor but when I try to select the HDMI as input the menu says air TV but it is not highlighted. It skips over this setting and will not let me change it.

I can't read the model number without moving the TV. I also could not find the HDMI ports till I used a flashlight. I have found that shining a flashlight near the three HDMI ports can trip a protection circuit. The easiest way to reset this is with the original remote which came with the TV. This was a display model that the store had lost the remote for. I have found another method of resetting it but will have to wait till I have time to do it. I did connect a computer to this TV a few years ago when checking the computer out. It worked then.

It was all me. I thought that this was changed through the menu and it looks like it should be. I found a button on the TV that changes it without using the menu. When my wife got home she told me that there was a button on the remote for this too. Using the menu I can change from HDMI to TV but not from TV to HDMI. Thanks for trying to help me with this.
