JVC GZ-HD300 HD GRAINY VIDEO AT PLAYBACK

Jul 7, 2009 3:09PM PDT

I have a JVC GZ-HD300 HI-DEF Camcorder.
I am able to take Video with no problem however, when I try to play
my video back on my HDTV, I get GRAINY VIDEO. I am connecting my camera from my HDMI connection to the TV. It appears to be as simple
as that...I guess not.

HELP!??

Presuming the video is captured

under "normal" lighting conditions and all other environmentals (temperature and humidity and all that) are met, yes, returning the camcorder for refund/replacement would be appropriate. If, however, the camcorder is being used outside the stated specs (they are in the camcorder manual), and/or in a low light environment, then perhaps resetting your expectation would be appropriate.

Normally, video captured by a high definition (consumer) camcorder under good lighting conditions connected to a HDTV with HDMI should look great.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. I just hate the refund process.

Thanks again.

Unhappy with my JVC GZ-HD300
Jul 8, 2009 7:01AM PDT

I just bought the same camera and I am having the same problem. The picture playback is grainy especially when I play it through iMovie. My old Camcorder was a Canon (tape) and the quality was soooo much better. I understand that tape quality is still better but there shouldn't be that much difference. I already asked for a refund and they said they have to talk to higher management because they can just return a camera because the consumer is not happy. I'm going to America in the next month and I definitely don't want to take a camera that takes bad quality footage. Does anyone know if there are any settings I need to check??
