Question

JVC GR-DX97 camcorder condensation problem

Oct 12, 2013 11:54PM PDT

Have tried all the usual fixes - its been in the airing cupboard for months, the dewpoint sensor has been cleaned - all to no avail. Would like info please, on a fix that will rid me of this problem.

Answer
You have to make a choice.

1. Replace the sensor.
2. Or research if the sensor is the type to be cut, shorted or replaced with a resistor. I can't do that search for you.

JVC GR-DX97 condensation
Oct 14, 2013 7:28PM PDT

Many thanks for your reply Bob. I seem to have read numerous accounts of JVC camcorders with this condensation problem and the lack of interest by JVC. However, a number of them refer to a method that involves the disconnection of the dewpoint sensor from a circuit board but I have yet to find any details. I would prefer this option if possible because practically, and looking at the internals of my camera, that appeals to me rather than your first suggestion but, it may come to that in the end.
Again, many thanks
Michael
