Condensation error message

I ran into the same problem. I sent an email to JVC tech support, but so far no response. I took the tape out of my camera, opened up everything that could open, removed the battery and let the camera sit for a day and the error message has gone away.
I hope this helps.

JVC Junk
Jun 6, 2008 9:49AM PDT

Hi all regarding JVC error 'Condensation operation paused'
I had the same problem with my camcorder. I spent hours on the phone to JVC without any support or ownership of the problem. I took it to get repaired (which I had to pay for) and it worked again for about a month, then the error message re-appeared. JVC acknowledge the fault and won't admit responsibility. My advice is to NEVER purchase a JVC camera again and treat yourself to another brand. I did (a Canon) and have never experienced the stress and frustration as I did with the JVC junk.

I have the vaery same camera

and had the very same issue. What I did was eject the tape, leave the tape bay open, and set it in front of a space heater for about 15 minutes. Do not try this with the camera to close to the heater. A hair dryer might actualy work better. It's my assumption that the condensation error message is the result of very small particals of moisture accumulated on critical internal parts. Blowing moderate, dry heat into the inside seemed to worked for me.

This works!

Wanted to share this as I found this on another site and it worked for me. I've been having the same problem/error 'please wait, condensation operation paused' too. I was getting rather upset as we had footage I needed to retrieve of my little one taking his first steps! I thought we had lost it for good, or would have to spend a small fortune getting our jvc video recorder repaired just to retrieve the footage. So a big thankyou to 'Indiana Jones' - the tech who posted this brilliant solution...

"i'm a tech and i'll tell you the secret. the moisture sensor is a little black square on the side of the drive motor. if you look directly where the tape goes in, the drive motor is in the far back left. it's partially hidden behind a silver pin hanging down from the black plastic cover that goes over the video head. take a long q-tip and dip it in glass cleaner(windex etc) and gently wipe it off. you should see a small amount of black guck on the q-tip. then remove power for about one minute and allow to dry. it's better to use air to dry it out."

I cleaned my vid rec as directed and then placed my hairdryer on low heat and low air setting and dryed the 'insides' for about 15 minutes. BAM!!! Our jvc vid rec works just like new! And better recording/footage quality too!
Hope this helps you all xxx
