Take a gander at VLCPLAYER and it's transcoding feature. (free too!)

That's what I would try.

Its not the player. The software came with my camcorder with allows me to watch it. But with youtube, I can upload onto it with an .wmv file but not with avi or mpeg. .wmv is not nearly as clear. Just wondering if u all knew what I could be doing wrong

Hmm, it's not just a player.

Sorry to see you miss out. Vlcplayer can also re-encode the video to something you can submit. I figured you would look at this since it was free. I see why people would rather pay.

I appreciate your help Happy. The program I have came with the camera. I figured out what I was doing wrong. You have to put it in a streaming audio like .wav before it will play. Other files are to large. Again, thanks for taking the time to help

Use the provided software. The Cyberlink software is soooooo easy to use. I suggest you play with the software and try different things. It's not that complicated.

Eitherwise, if you have a PC with Vista then just use Windows Movie Maker. If you didn't know WMM supports .mod file extensions.

You should try making your own discussion so people won't think you are trying to answer the original question.

iverio Video Converter

You can use iVerio Video Convert to convert multiple .MOD and .TOD video files from JVC Camcorders in once.

After conversion all your video files are dated and order and you can play or edit them in all video players Quicktime, Windows Media player, iMovie, Final Cut, Premiere ...

Hope it will help.
