JVC Everio exposure problem

Jul 5, 2009 12:30AM PDT

Hi - I'm a camcorder beginner so please bear with me.

All I use my JVC Everio for is basic videoing, just point and record and then transfer to DVD. My problem is that when its sunny (we live in the tropics - always sunny!) the resulting film is very white, peoples faces are white, its very over exposed.

anyone have any tips to be able to try and stop this happening so I can get definition and decent colour on my film when its sunny.

Did you try putting a polarizing filter over the lens?

hi,

I dont know what that is I'm afraid, but I know I dont have one LOL. Do you know of any settings on the actual camcorder itself I could change to make the picture better?

thanks

-> No. When I hear of such the first thing I think of is "filter." Go to some camera shop and ask to try one.
