FreeiPods.com and a lot of others are owned by FreePay, which is a brand name of Gratis Internet. (You can click here for a Wikipedia article on the company.) While there have been plenty of 'satisfied customers,' it is essentially a pyramid scheme...You must subscribe (usually things such as satellite and cell phone contracts, dating services, etc, all of which you must pay for) to so many offers from their partners/clients, then convince so many others to do the same. This, in essence, turns you into a low-paid advertiser for Gratis Internet and the associated companies. Whether you give it a shot is up to you, but remember that not everyone has walked away a 'satisfied customer,' and that posting requests for referrals and such in the forums is a violation of forum policies due to advertising/spamming.
Just a heads up.

Hey everyone, I just listened to the very first podcast, the one where Tom talks about the free iPod. He mentioned "FreeiPod.com" which is part of FreePay and gives away all kinds of stuff (laptops, desktops, Xbox 360s). Anyway, it doesn't look like a scam, and seems pretty simple to get something cool. But has anybody ever tried this before and ever gotten something from it? Thanks guys.
