EEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!

Now, get out there and let's see something really interesting!
Some cameras have a special setting for taking your own picture while holding the camera.
Method 2 is to use the delay timer for taking your own picture.
Or do as I do: wear a mask.

Doesn't look bad to me.
In most first-time self portraits I've seen looked like they were taken straight up the nose. ![]()

Funny you mentioned the "old up the nose shot" - the 1st two attempts were like that, but this one I think I held the camera up above my head in elevation.
I shall ask my friend to take a slightly longer range photo of me, and I shall have a good shave for the occasion. Thanks for the feedback.
Steve
Sounds like a good plan! (A neck tie is not required.)
(Me, I have the bad habit of dipping the camera when I push the button, so cut off part of my subject.)

Hi, Steve.
Most digicams have a 10 second delay timer setting. here's what you do -- put the camera on a table pointed at a chair with something right behind it (a painting, frinstance) about at head level. Focus on the painting, then trigger the camera. 10 seconds is plenty of time for you to go and sit in the chair.

Hi Dave,
I haven't noticed anything like that yet, but that doesn't mean there isn't a photo delay timer somewhere.
I shall have another look and carry out what you suggested if I find it.
wondering what some setting is, turning it on, seeing nothing happen, then the look of surprise when it starts beeping, and finally dropping it as the flash unexpectedly goes off right in your face. The picture obtained though, if looking at the lens then, is usually priceless, LOL.
Hey Steve,
Surprised that the photo came up right away. It is a little large. I like it better then the one you have at Wayne's photo gallery. Maybe it is because of the stash, I like, have one also. Going to substitued with another??

I keep it simple. You can see my "desk" in this page I put up for Hurricane Isabel passing thru our area. I find the normal computer desk a bit restrictive in leg room underneath, I like to stretch them out at times. Clicking on small image will open larger.

sit at the keyboard. The first link of this thread has now changed to a more respectable picture of myself. I need to lose some weight though. ![]()
