how do you charge it, with usb or a adapter?

You can charge via USB or the AC adapter.

Plug it into the USB drive on the PC and it should start. The AC adapter is for wall charging.

When charging it up with the USB connection, make sure you have Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 installed. If you don't have either or both, push the power switch to the lock position. You'll know the Zen Micro is charging when the blue glow dims and brightens.

I've had my Zen Micro for about a month now. I love it!
