Just got a Canon G9; Lens Adapter suggestion?...

I'd like to use my filters, but I don't want to spend a lot for a simple adapter to use with the Canon G9.

I see a $60 adapter from Canon, but a $30 Lensmate brand equivalent. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not sure what else is out there, but I don't really need to spend more than $15...or so I'd think.

Canon G9

Canon Accessories tend to be generally overpriced.

Since you are only going to use it for filters, $60 is out of whack.

I read somewhere that the Canon model is plastic and the Lensmate model is aluminum. Other than that, they are identical.

I would have to go with the Lensmate adapter.

Keep looking, there is a good chance that you will find a Chinese model for less than $30.
The Chinese make lots of that type of accessories.
Just make sure that it is equipped to handle 58mm filters.
If it uses smaller filters, you will get vignetting (darkening of the corners of photos).

The Lensmate is a beautiful piece of engineering. It never leaves my G9.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
