Jump Drive

Jun 1, 2005 5:41AM PDT

Using Windows ME. Trying to transfer 20 files in "my documents" to jump drive on USB. Upon highlighting files and going to "file" and "send to". I see no place for the jump drive listed.
Can I create this on this drop down window?
Thank You
Medvince

But I could press control-C (copy) and change to the drive and right-click Paste the files there.

Sorry, but I no longer have any Windows ME machines to see how to do this repair so I offer the workaround.

Shortcut in Send To...
Jun 4, 2005 10:34AM PDT

can be made for your flash drive quite easily if you know its drive letter.

1. Right click on a blank spot on your desktop.

2. Select New then Shortcut

3. For the Command line use E:\ (assuming YOUR flash drive is E:--if not use the actual drive letter your flash drive has)

4. A default name for the drive will be proposed--accept it or change to whatever you desire.

5. Click OK and you have a new shortcut on the desktop.

6. Drag that new shortcut onto the SendTo while holding down the RIGHT mouse button. When you release it on the SendTo menu select the option to MOVE it.

7. You can now send files to that shortcut.
