jpegs printing red

Dec 22, 2004 6:59AM PST

Hi, I've been trying to alter and print some pics taken on Fuji Finepix S304 digital camera. When I reduce the size to fit A4 photo paper and print off a pic, it prints red. This happens in Paint Shop pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe PhotoDelux Business Edition. To happen in all three doesn't suggest a problem with the programs, or does it? Can't understand what is going on, just sick of wasting glossy photo paper!
Any ideas.

Thanx

So, just use plain white paper until you figure out the problem.

only red?

It is really just red, and no other color, at all?
or is it with a heavy red influence, but the other colors are there somewhat?

If it is only red, no other colors, I suspect that your printer is acting up. Try printing something else, to see if the other colors print.

I suggest that you make a simple test picture, with blocks of the three printer colors; blue, yellow and red. (Please don't beat me up by correcting those color names to "CYMK" cyan, yellow, magenta, (and black) I know the difference, I am only trying to keep this simple, and this addendum has already blown that Happy )

You might also try one other graphic printing program, like IrfanView, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!.
