JPEG image scanned images received via e-mail. The file association is OPEN with Internet Explorer....but
the files are too large to be displayed without the necessity of scroll bars...how to make image smaller?

Try Menu 'Extra' -> Internet Options -> Tab 'Advanced' -> Scroll to 'Multimedia' -> something like 'Automatic scale images'.

Set as you see fit.

mypersonalfriend,

I use a program called "Irfanview" which can be downloaded for free from the link below. Save the picture file to your desktop, then after installing Irfanview, open the program, then open the picture from Irfanview. (After opening Irfanview, click on "File", choose 'Open", then navigate to the picture that you need to open and double click on it. Irfanview will open the picture.) Once it's open in Irfanview, the program gives you the options to reduce the size of the picture from the "Image" menu in the upper left corner.

Hope this this helps.
