JPEG images won't open

Hi there

Until two days ago all was fine but since earlier today, whenever I go to "pictures", select a folder and then click to open a file, I get the following error message..

J:\DCIM\100CANON\IMG_7104.JPG Invalid value for registry"

I get the same message regardless of whether it's a new photo I've just uploaded or photos that have been on my PC for a long time. Can anyone offer any help please?

I have a Toshiba Satellite C-50A-157 with an Intel Core i3 processor

For me I'd re-associate JPG files with the app I want to use.
