What file format do I use if I want to save a graphic with a transparent background?
PNG retains Transparency and Layers which can be edited again without the hassle of cropping again...Arrr~
the best file format for the uploading is jpg, unless the image has few colors, specially if they are solid colors you should save it as a gif, gif would also be your best choice with transparency and animated pictures...
I know png is better but...it is not supported by some browsers so if you are uploading pictures for some website, you definately want to have everybody see your pictures!
