If any of those images are corrupt, it may not be possible to recover them.
However I understand that IrfanView, (http://www.irfanview.com/), may be able to read corrupt image files, so that might be a possibility. It's a free utility.
If they cannot be recovered and you cannot delete them the usual way, try booting the computer up into Safe Mode and see if you can delete them from there.
If not, lookup MoveOnBoot in Google. This will let you mark a file for deletion the next time you boot up the computer. Beware though, it is easy to delete whole directories, (folders), in error.
I tried to organize my photos, but everytime I moved a photo, the photo became unusable. There is not a thumbnail and when I click on them, it says it can't determine type. (there IS a .jpg extension on each photo) Once I discovered the problem, I began to copy and paste and that worked. However, I have a bunch of pics that are "lost". Is there anyway to retrieve them? I tried to delete one and it will not let me do that either. Says "access denied" I am sure it is some preference, but I can not seem to find it. HELP!! Many pictures of grandbaby!!!! I am running Windows XP Vers 2002. (if that helps)
