If any of those images are corrupt, it may not be possible to recover them.

However I understand that IrfanView, (http://www.irfanview.com/), may be able to read corrupt image files, so that might be a possibility. It's a free utility.

If they cannot be recovered and you cannot delete them the usual way, try booting the computer up into Safe Mode and see if you can delete them from there.

If not, lookup MoveOnBoot in Google. This will let you mark a file for deletion the next time you boot up the computer. Beware though, it is easy to delete whole directories, (folders), in error.
