hey, i just got a hp jornada 540 and i need to know how to set it up with my home networking so i can go online.

I'm assuming you picked up the Jornada 540 from a garage sale/online auction, and didn't receive a user manual. Luckilly, HP has a digital version available online. Just click here and scroll down to page 41 (page 45 according to Adobe Reader) for instructions about connecting to the internet/network. However, I'd like to note that the Jornada 540 does not have WiFi or Bluetooth...the two current technologies used for wireless communication. Thus, as explained in the manual, you'll either have to use Infrared to connect to an old modem or cell phone, or purchase a CF (Type I) card that enables you to connect to a phone or directly to your computer.
