Jordans / JTJ Online Store OK??

Jun 1, 2006 6:31AM PDT

I Froogled for a new RAZR v3I phone, and found this web site (http://shop.1asecure.com/index.cfm?stid=5316 ) for a store called Jordans, which professes to be a volume dealer that also sells to the public. Their prices is MUCH cheaper than anywhere else. Too good to be true? Does anybody have any experience with them? I want to check before writing a check!
Thanks.

America's Dummest Criminals
Jul 21, 2006 12:34PM PDT

I think the reason that a lot of people fell for this scam is because it is so unoriginal. Anybody can set up a website, take money and give nothing in return. The reason most people don't is because they are not that stupid! People figure "who is dumb enough to risk serious time in prison without an original scam." It's been done!!! The only people who get away with scams as big as this one are the people who invent something new and nobody can figure out what happened. Well, these people at Jordan's are not criminal masterminds. They left tons of leads... The only smart thing they did was promising to return everyone's money by the end of July. Only because they still have time to send out refunds and not go to prison. Soon August 1st will roll around and the FBI will be free to go and arrest these people, confiscate all the money and they will spend a long time in prison.

Friggin' pain in neck but I got $$$ back
Jul 22, 2006 7:58PM PDT

After a dozen calls to the Philadelphia number registered with the JTJ Online website certificate, I got an address in South Philly where one of the three co-owners resides. Apparently these guys are incompetent not criminal, but the result is the same. These idiots were taking money first and making payments to their supplier. When they didn't get enuf orders, they reniged on their last two payments. They are actually still hoping to get about 40 or 50 more orders to satisfy their purchase. I called this guy at home and I got my money plus fifty dollars for my trouble wired to my account. The main guy is named Jason something or other. One partner is a lady, The third is unnamed. Good luck yall. My advice, send them a threatening (legal action) email and you'll get a quick refund.

I Have To Be Honest Here...I'm Suspicious Of Your Post
Jul 22, 2006 10:53PM PDT

There are several posts in this thread from "satisfied customers" or "customers who (though tardy) did receive their money back."

Though I'm not affected (I don't chase pipe dreams like this or believe in deals that are too good to be true) I despise these NY rip off joints and would love to see everyone receive their money back.

So in this spirit, instead of speaking in generalities ("his name is Jason something or another" and the other is "a lady" and there's "an addrss in Philadelphia," etc) lets have all the specifics.

Names, phone numbers, addresses.

Maybe you can actually help someone here rather than just add to the mystery which is, thus far, all you've done!

Would you please give me their phone numbers??????

Sir: why don't you just send us our money?
Jul 24, 2006 10:58AM PDT

instead of these shill postings? You know we are all banding together and have exchanged emails so that we can approach the Philly authorities with one unified voice. What do you think we are stupid? I logged onto the jtjonline website, and there is no way to get https, thus no way to examine the cert data. GoDaddy won't give it out either. So your story is complete BS and I suspect *YOU* are the only person claiming refunds (to yourself).

Yup, Just As I Suspected, He's A Fraud.....
Jul 24, 2006 11:56AM PDT

....Just like the clip joint he's trying to run interference for.

A real disgrace. The moderators should permanently ban this clown and anyone else who posts crap about "getting their money back" from these rip off joints.

Until I see a copy of a check received and cashed from this outfit, I have no doubt that they have not refunded anyone $0.01 and will never do so.

No Refund Here
Jul 24, 2006 12:27PM PDT

No refund here, but did file with the Attorney General's office in NY. I'm kissing my $$ good-bye, but I hope ''Jordans'' gets his! I only hope that we stopped others for falling for this scam.

contact details
Sep 25, 2006 10:07PM PDT

Have you got telephone contact info for the Philadelphia office, I've tried to find it but get redirected to UK websites and I keep getting a generic autoreply that says to phone the Philadelphia office...

Thanks

The "business" doesn't exist
Sep 26, 2006 4:13AM PDT

It should be obvious to you by now that there is no Philadelphia office. The people on here who claim to have been refunded are the perpetrators themselves having a bit of fun with their victims. (If you look at their profiles, you'll see that they've each only ever made a single post on cnet.)

This was a SCAM. Meaning there is no such business, no office, no phone number, and no way of getting your money back.

Anyone foolish enough not to have paid by credit card are never, ever going to see a cent from these crooks.

You weren't paying attention. If they had accepted credit cards, we wouldn't all be stuck to this tar baby.

real phone number or address please

Can you furnish a real (home or business) phone number or address please?

I'd like to contact these folks.

don't do it...it's a scam
Jul 26, 2006 5:51AM PDT

You will regret it if you already cut them a check. None of the addresses or phone numbers check out. The Better Business Bureau cannot locate them. I have turned over the matter to IC3. They are the FBI branch that investigates things like internet fraud. If anyone else has been scammed by them, go to your bank and get a clear copy of the cancelled check. It has their bank information and the account number and file a complete complaint with IC3 and the NY BBB

more info
Jul 26, 2006 5:57AM PDT

Just to provide some additional info...The Phila number is to a UPS store. The NY address is to something called Optima Lighting (they never answered after several calls either). The toll free number provided by someone in this forum no longer rings when called. I hope everyone files at IC3.gov. They will get what's coming to them

Their website actually got updated. It now says that they are in the process of sending refunds, and everyone will receive theirs by "August 21st".

no new news here. I noticed that they did update their website, giving the new date of Aug. 21st. Obviously, they are just trying to keep people hopeful of a refund.

I paid by money order instead of check. I have a feeling this will turn out to be a fly-by-night operation, meaning the perpetrators would be hard to track down and pursue legal action against.

Stuck without a camera or money
Sep 2, 2006 8:14AM PDT

If anyone knows how to get our money back from Jordans, please let me know. I have copies of the order number for the digital camera, I kept all e-mails from them, the last one was in July. Now I hear nothing and can't get ahold of them. I am getting a copy of my check at the bank. I also wrote to the internet fraud investigators. Thanks for your help.
