You mentioned you tried 5 different "spyware removers", but never said which ones they were. It may very well be you DO need a different tool than the ones provided below. But I would first start by asking, if you've scanned with either of two below. If not, I would suggest doing so.
For the instructions of how to use MBAM, scroll down to where you see, "Automated Removal Instructions for Antivirus XP 2008 using Malwarebytes' Anti-MalwareMalwarebytes" at:
How to remove Antivirus XP 2008 (Uninstall Instructions)
You can also try running SUPERAntiSpyware (free):
If you've tried the two, and also tried scanning with them in safe mode, please post back. You'll be offered other options and additional help.
by mistake, downloaded this spyware called antivirusxp08, which had Joke Bluescreen attached to it. with help from about 5 different spyware removers, was able to uninstall the antivirusxp08 program from my computer. But have not been able to find anything that removes the Joke Bluescreen file (PUP). on every startup, the blue screen with Youve been infected, message reappears. I have to download a fix file to recover the missing "desktop and screen saver" tabs from desktop properties, then change back to my preferred desktop theme. Is there any remover that can remove this, or do I have to do something drastic.
