General discussion

John ? about (NT)

Apr 8, 2007 5:59AM PDT

From time to time after typing subject such as "Host File" I will accidentally hit the enter key.

The (NT) is added as it should. I then go to preview and edit and the (NT) is not in the subject. I remove the subject then retype but when submitting the (NT) is still in the subject.

Besides being more careful what can I do to remove the unwanted (NT)

Thanks
Ray

It's a bug...
Apr 8, 2007 6:49AM PDT

A week or two ago I put in a request for the functionality to be updated such that (NT) is automatically removed from the subject line if a body is detected. It looks like it was implemented, but that a line of code is missing, so (NT) is removed but then reinserted at time of submission. Until it's unkinked the only solution is to copy what you've written, cancel, and then start over with creating a new post, pasting in what you have thus far. Manually removing the (NT) is supposed to work, but this bug trumps it. Sad
