I changed a setting in Sounds in Control Panel.
(The default setting for recording is now stereo mix.
The little picture seems to be that of a sound card.)
<div>The recording using Jing now begins with Mic On.
But there is still no audio when I play back the video.

Got it working! In Control Panel | Sound
<div>Playback device was set to Speakers. Apparently this isn't enough. In Recording the Stereo Mix properties at Listen must also be set to Speakers, at the Playback through this device area.

Glad you fixed it :)
