just cause you have good compression doesnt mean the mechanical part of the engine is ok. disable fuel supply (fuel pump relay ) and spark (coil primary circuit) remove the valve cover and crank over the engine and make sure all the push rods and rockers are moving in equal length. then make sure you look at the valve springs closly to make sure one isn't broken (compare to the rear cylinders springs) but look real close broken ones are hard to identify just a starting point (no pun intended)
